Privacy Policy

Effective September 30, 2026

signbear (“we”, “us”) makes digital signs for small businesses in Louisville, Kentucky and beyond. This policy explains what we collect when you use signbear.net, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not receive your Google password or access your Gmail, contacts, or files.
  • Business content: the business name, menus, prices, images, and other material you add or ask us to generate for your signs.
  • Billing: payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Connected services: if you connect a point-of-sale system such as Square, we store the access tokens it issues (encrypted) and the menu data we sync.
  • Merchandise orders: if you order branded merchandise, we collect the shipping name and address needed to fulfill it.
  • Usage data: we use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure performance. They do not use cookies or track you across other sites, and we strip private links (such as your display screens and preview pages) out of what is recorded.
  • Advertising measurement: we advertise signbear with Google Ads. On our home page, sign-up and sign-in pages, legal pages, and the first step of account setup, the Google Ads tag records which ad (if any) brought you to signbear and whether you went on to create an account. It does not run on your dashboard, display screens, or sign previews.

How we use it

  • To run your account, show your signs on your screens, and keep your menus in sync.
  • To generate sign designs and copy you request using AI models.
  • To bill your subscription and fulfill merchandise orders.
  • To send account email such as verification links, password resets, and billing notices.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send Google your name, email, or business content; the Google Ads tag only tells Google that a visit or sign-up happened, so we can see which of our ads work.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us operate signbear, and only what each one needs:

  • Vercel (hosting, file storage, and analytics)
  • Neon (database)
  • Stripe (payments)
  • Anthropic and OpenAI (AI generation of sign content you request)
  • Google Workspace and Resend (sending account email)
  • Google Ads (measuring our advertising)
  • Square, when you choose to connect it
  • Printful (merchandise fulfillment)

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

Cookies

Inside your account we use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. On the pages listed above, the Google Ads tag sets advertising cookies so Google can connect an ad click to a later sign-up. Google handles that data under the Google advertising policy. You can limit ad personalization in Google’s My Ad Center, or block these cookies with your browser’s cookie or tracking-protection settings; signbear works the same either way.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. When you close your account we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep records such as invoices for legal or tax purposes.

Your choices

You can update your account details at any time from your account settings. To get a copy of your data or to delete your account, email myles@signbear.net and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you signed in with Google, you can also remove signbear’s access from your Google Account settings.

Security

We use encryption in transit, encrypt stored integration credentials, hash passwords, and offer two-step verification. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

signbear is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, let account holders know by email.
